CACLD offers information on more than 100 relevant topics, including: schools, therapists, counselors, tutors, and camps, to name a few. CACLD provides the following services relating to children and adults with LD and/or ADD / ADHD, their families, and professionals who work with them:
- A Resource Center offering informational materials, referrals, and consultations.
- A "Help Line" on learning disabilities and ADD / ADHD to answer questions from parents and professionals. (203) 838-5010 (see below)
- A bookstore with more than 200 current titles of books and video tapes.
- Conferences, Seminars, Workshops.
- An opportunity for confused and anxious parents to meet people who share and understand their concerns.
- Information on colleges and other post-secondary education options.
- Newsletters and other informational mailings.
- LD and ADD / ADHD materials donated to area schools and libraries for parent and teacher training.
- Speakers and materials for community organizations.
- Representation on state committees dealing with LD /,ADD / ADHD issues.
- Information for legislators on the needs of children and adults with learning disabilities and/or attention deficit disorders.
- A close working relationship with professionals in the field.
- Raising public awareness through CACLD's ongoing community education campaigns and programs.
